A Black Girl's Rant (Poem) ft. Saint Sin
from Throne Talk Society · host Mikeya Janeé
Who wants to hear another Black girl rant about how she isn’t being loved properly or seen with dignity and respect? I guess the better question is: how many more Black women have yet to tell their truth—their story? I’m sure there are many. But one woman we can’t say that about is the poet, the writer, the entertainer herself—Saint Sin—who expresses the sentiments of a Black woman’s journey through love and pain so significantly. She often emphasizes the magnitude of a woman’s presence and how she should be tended to with care and intention. Honestly, this “women deserve all the love” campaign only makes sense, considering that she refers to herself as a garden… a creation that creates—as most of us are. Insinuating that women often reciprocate what’s planted into the soil of their lives. There’s no doubt in my mind that this is why she advocates for the melanated female group the way that she does. And I can’t wait for you all to hear the poem she’s created to tell the story.Keep Up With Saint SinInstagram: @theesaintsinFacebook: Saint SinThrone Talk SocietyInstagram: @thronetalksocietyFacebook: @thronetalksocietyMikeya Janee AppSubmit audio: www.mikeyajanee.com/thronetalksociety
