from Joseph Z Podcast · host Joseph Z

**The strength of sin is the law**. Join Joseph Z and Dr. Avery Jackson as they discuss the critical role of Vitamin D in boosting immune health, the benefits of praying in tongues, intermittent fasting, and laughter in enhancing mental and physical well-being. They address the dangers of a sedentary lifestyle and the importance of community in combating anxiety and depression. Dr. Avery emphasizes the importance and effectiveness of Vitamin D, sharing that when our vitamin D levels are low, our immune system becomes destabilized, resulting in a sicker body. He presents scientific evidence of what happens to our brains when we pray in tongues, revealing that praying in tongues can positively influence our will, mind, and emotions, which in turn increases our faith and reduces anxiety, ultimately improving our physical health. Dr. Avery goes on to highlight the role of intermittent fasting in our overall wellness, sharing that when we fast intermittently, our bodies become supercharged, leading to the elimination of toxins, which in turn clear our brains.  Interestingly, Dr. Avery explains how using a cell phone contributes to anxiety, highlighting intermittent fasting, ketogenic dieting, and laughter as antidotes to anxiety and depression. He discusses the powerful impact of laughter, explaining how certain health issues can be managed when we live in joy. He explains that our natural killer cells become more active and function better when we laugh, thereby enhancing the fight against infections, combating cancer, and regulating inflammatory pathways.  Additionally, he warns that the strength of sin is the law, showing how being bound by law can lead to bitterness and all that the enemy uses to hold us bound. Again, he analyzes how a sedentary lifestyle has led to a decrease in our natural killer cells, encouraging us to spend time in God's word, as this will influence our mind, will, and emotions, thereby positively imparting general health. He further reveals that engaging in exercise decreases our risk of stroke and heart attack to zero. He also shows that having a community helps us overcome depression and anxiety.  July 9, 2026
