A Brief History of Philly-Flavored Chips

What does Philadelphia taste like? Is it onions? Is it garlic? How does a snack food company perfectly capture the palate of a whole city as eclectic and diverse as ours? They manufacture a cheese steak flavored version of their product. Herr’s recently released three Philly inspired varieties of potato chip and wouldn’t you know it, one of them tastes like cheesesteak. Listeners have been asking us to have another tasting episode for these chips. So in addition to chewing into the mic, we decided to do a brief history on Philly inspired snack foods.
