A Call To Intimacy
from Theo Akutor
In 2 Corinthians 3:18, the scripture speaks about transformation through intimacy with God. It says, "And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." This verse emphasizes the idea of an unveiled face, symbolizing openness and transparency in our relationship with God. The call to intimacy is an invitation to continually behold the glory of the Lord, allowing His Spirit to transform us into His likeness. Embracing intimacy with God involves a conscious effort to seek His presence, meditate on His Word, and cultivate a deep, personal connection through prayer. The transformative journey leads to a reflection of God's glory in our lives, where we increasingly manifest His qualities and virtues. In essence, this call to intimacy is an ongoing process of surrender and communion, fostering a profound spiritual connection that shapes and molds us into the image of the One we intimately seek.
