A Case For The Book of Enoch, Watcher Angels, Ethiopian Mysteries, & The Greek Septuagint w/ Nelly Van Sickle

Is the Book of Enoch an occult deception or one of the most important ancient witnesses to the supernatural world of the Bible? In this episode, we make the case for Enoch. Pastor Nelly Van Sickle joins me, and we return to the texts themselves. Not only is this a great conversation, but also an in-depth exploration of:• How the Dead Sea Scrolls proved that Enochic traditions predate Christ• Jude’s direct quotation from 1 Enoch• Jerome’s acknowledgment that Jude used Enoch• Striking parallels between the teachings of Jesus and the Book of Enoch• How complete manuscripts of Enoch were preserved in Ethiopia• The mysterious relationship between Enoch, Jubilees, Noah, and the line of Shem• What “Nephilim” actually means• Why the sons of God were traditionally understood as heavenly beings• The problems with the later Sethite interpretationWe also place Genesis, 1 Enoch, Jubilees, Jude, and 2 Peter side by side. The same pattern emerges again and again: heavenly beings descend, human women are taken, giants appear, forbidden knowledge spreads, rebellious angels are bound, and the Flood follows. The Book of Enoch is not the Bible, but does that mean it should be ignored? Could it preserve ancient traditions that help explain passages the modern world has forgotten how to read? This is our best attempt at a healthy, reasonable, and Bible-centered examination of the Book of Enoch.Check out Nelly and The Dancing Toaster Podcast:https://open.spotify.com/show/6iYMh2DJxoAhmhlRecZgHy?si=75b14af574934be8Dancing Toaster YouTube:https://youtube.com/@thedancingtoasterpodcast?si=DxnYPAFH53rIyeQmInsta: https://www.instagram.com/thedancingtoaster?igsh=cnNnamtjc215c3dhWANT TO HELP THIS SHOW: Simply follow or subscribe!TIM CONSTANTINEMy Patreon: patreon.com/TimConstantineMy Instagram:  https://www.instagram.com/sixsensorypodcast/My YouTube:https://youtube.com/@sixsensorypodcast?si=KXoO5h47Y1RErmoS
