A Cat Catastrophe

from The People’s Court Podcast · host The People’s Court Podcast

The plaintiff says the defendant is her ex-boyfriend, and he shot her cat in the eye in a fit of anger. The vet had to remove the poor animal’s eye to save his life. She’s suing for the vet bill, inconvenience, and pain and suffering. The defendant says the cat sprayed pee at him and the plaintiff’s baby, so he shot it with a pellet gun.  Then, the plaintiff says she bought a Mercedes-Benz convertible from the defendant, but it turns out the top is broken. He refuses to take the car back, so she’s suing for the cost of the repair and emotional distress. The defendant says he informed the plaintiff one of the hydraulic cylinders leaked and she agreed she would fix it. He’s countersuing for monies owed.  Plus, the plaintiff says he made a bet with his college buddy and he can prove he won it. Now the defendant won’t pay him the money he’s owed, so he’s suing. The defendant says he and his college buddies made a lot of stupid bets back in the day and they were jokes. He denies owing anything.  Don’t forget to rate and subscribe so you never miss an episode. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. Learn more about your ad choices.
