We are going to be chatting about the benefits of scheduling in for change. Routines are convenient because they allow us several mental breaks throughout the day. As with most things, moderation is key. If we spend too many hours of our day on autopilot we can fall into a "routine rut," leaving us feeling unmotivated, disengaged and restless. It's important to find mental and emotional stimulation throughout the day and actively engage with the world around you. What better way (and an easy way, too!), than to pencil in time to make a change, to what we do on a day-to-day basis, at least once in a while. It's often the little things that go a long way by way of our inner sense of well-being.
