Dr. Mirza is a renowned leader in medical education within ophthalmology. In 2016, she was awarded by the Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology the "Excellence in Medical Student Education Award". Dr. Mirza is a leader in the AUPO and has significantly contributed to the changes made to the residency application timeline and process due to COVID-19 by working with educators across the nation.
