"...your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and afflictions that your are enduring" 2 Thes. 1:4 The Thessalonian Christians were suffering great persecutions and afflictions. To make matters worse, false teachers and lying prophets had shown up with heresies that 'explained' the suffering.
