from Produciendo con Julio Monroy · host Delta Records
We were joined by Scott Kramer, a seasoned mix technician, supervising sound editor, and re-recording mixer for film and television, with credits that include Twilight and Mozart in the Jungle. He later moved into the studio side at Netflix, where he helped lead sound initiatives and collaborated with audio developers, post-production managers, and creative executives at one of the world’s largest content studios. In this conversation, we explored Eclipsa Audio, the immersive 3D audio format developed by Samsung and Google and built on the open IAMF standard. Eclipsa Audio is designed to create a more spatial and immersive listening experience by placing sound around the listener in a three-dimensional field. We talked about what it is, why it matters, and what it could mean for the future of audio in film, television, and streaming.
