A “Come to Order” Edition of RRR # 1,294 May 4, 2025

from Rapidly Rotating Records · host Glenn Robison

George Dewey Washington Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t not tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s. Do you know who this fellow is? Well, it says so right on the photograph, so the question then becomes, “Do you know who George Dewey Washington is?” If not, you’ll find out in the first segment of this week’s edition of the show as he gets his first birthday salute. In other segments we’ll celebrate the birthday of the State of Louisiana and hear from some Louisianans. And after we have a call to order, we’ll have some song about gladness. There’s lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and prepare to be transported back to a different–and we think better–musical era. Just click the link above to listen streaming online and/or download for listening at your convenience. THANKS FOR LISTENING! ENJOY THE SHOW!
