A Comfortable Faith is Not a Safe Faith

Faith can fit like favourite shorts, familiar and undemanding. Malachi warns priests who accepted blemished animals for worship that comfortable routines can dishonour God and leave people falsely thinking their sins are forgiven. That danger reaches anyone whose words promise devotion while their time, care and actions offer only leftovers. Jesus, the perfect priest, offered His own unblemished life to cleanse guilty consciences, so His people can serve the living God with their first and best.
