The stock market, more than ever before leans against your best intentions and intuitions. Whatever you think the stock market should do, it does the opposite of. If you think there is going to be little or no volatility, you'll get plenty of it, and when you think the market is going higher, it decides to go lower, just long enough to get you short, and then it goes higher.
