a conversation about the changing portrayal of women in comics! With Jessica Baldanzi, Carrie Harris, Noelle (X-Men Unraveled) and Alicia (X-Wife Pod)!

This week on Graymalkin Lane we have an incredibly inspiring and paradigm-shifting conversation about the changing portrayal of women in comics books over time. Chad is joined by authors Jessica Baldanzi and Carrie Harris, and podcast hosts Alicia and Noelle, and we discuss so many wonderful things. We talk about girls being the heroes of their own stories and what makes a great female villain. We talk about the need for more female creators and artists. We talk about how storylines for women shift from the 1960s until now. We point out problematic storylines. We analyze a bold essay by Mark Gruenwald. We talk about the female heroes that inspire us. And we talk about how there has never been a better time, or a safe space, for women to be fans of comics, which until recently has always been seen as a boy thing only. This episode will change your mind and shift your views. It's wonderful. Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
