A conversation(another) with Randy Purcell

Recently @mikewindyart made it out to East Tennessee to visit @randylpurcell in his new home studio that looks over a valley to the foothills of the great Smokey Mountains. No matter where he is Randy is always industrious and making, writing, and thinking constantly. Randy has developed a unique encaustic technique to create what he calls paintings. In less than 24 hours we recorded 2 episodes. Partly because we hadn’t chatted in a while but mainly because Randy is fascinating and one of the most generous artists with his time in our collective Southern art ecosystem.
