A Conversation With A Wise Old Owl…aka “Pops”

from Exploring the Energy with Anzo & Friends · host Andy Staib

Season 2, Episode 1 of Grateful Dad & Friends kicks off with a conversation with a gentleman who is a true treasure to me, and who reminds me of my own father,  His name is Doug Smith.  To those who know him best, his real nickname is Pops, but for the sake of adding context to the conversation, I consider him as wise as they come and therefore will also refer to him as a gentle, yet Wise Old Owl.  He was kind enough to host me in the comfort of his home in Charlotte, North Carolina and shared the tales of his service in the United States Navy, as well as his five tours in Vietnam, his courtship of his wife of 58 years, Joan Fleming Smith, and what he considers the three of the most important values in life.  And although this Wise Old Owl and I do not exactly share the same tastes in music, he enlightens me with music that I never, ever gave much thought to…namely, Broadway Musicals, and OPERA!  As we approach the end of the episode, we are joined by a very special guest, namely his better half.  Join us, and let’s see where the energy takes us! #IFE  https://www.facebook.com/groups/1983015048745357
