AnnMarie is known for her work in multicultural education, multicultural literacies, and culturally-sustaining teaching pedagogies. She studies multicultural literature in teacher education, investigates the culturally-sustaining pedagogies in early childhood education settings, and studies the familial impacts of adult males who were incarcerated while developing literacy programs for adult male inmates.
