A conversation with Brandon Kintzler
from The Sev & Geff Podcast Hosted by Paul Severino and Glenn Geffner
In this episode (recorded April 20, 2020), Paul and Glenn talk with new Marlins closer Brandon Kintzler. A 40th-round draft choice who was released in Single-A and then pitched 2 1/2 seasons of Independent League ball, Kintzler has persevered to spend all or part of the last 10 seasons in the major leagues, earning selection to the All-Star team in 2017. He'll tell us how a chance encounter with Greg Maddux helped set his career on a path toward success, and you won't want to miss the story of his Las Vegas wedding, complete with a 4-legged, tuxedo-wearing best man.
