In this episode Richard talks with friend and pastor Bruce Aubrey. He has served on church staffs for more than 45 years.  After serving as a youth director for three years and an associate pastor for four years, Bruce served as lead pastor of three churches over the past 39 years most recently at Northside Church in Liverpool for 30 years.  He has pastored churches from 80 in attendance to 1200.

Northside has embraced a strategy and plan that the church can be stronger and gospel impact exponential.  On January 15, he began a new role at Northside no longer as lead pastor but as pastor to pastors.  The goal is that pastors don't quit, churches don't die, communities don't lose a lighthouse and that lost people have more not less opportunities to hear the gospel and believe.  The ministry includes conferences, mentoring and coaching, and building helpful connections for pastors and churches. Shakespeare positions the titular Richard in the former position, his shortcomings as England's leader made all too clear when he bungles the handling of a judicial duel, and then later seizes money and assets that are not rightfully his in order to fund an Irish war. At the opposite end is the Machiavellian opportunist Henry Bolingbroke, who assembles enough supporters to help him dethrone the king and become the future Henry IV—the protagonist of the next two plays in this historical series. Written entirely in verse and containing some of the Bard's most florid and evocative language, Richard II never fails to transport its audience back to its time, where the furious machinations of government an Quest of the Golden Girl, The by Richard le Gallienne (1866 - 1947) LibriVox The main character fears that he will never get married and performs a long pilgrimage whose goal is the perfect companion, the girl God meant for him.
