When life takes an unexpected turn that leaves our comfortable, predictable world turned upside down, how do we respond? Listen as Jessika shares the story of having to face the fear of losing her premature baby boy during his 37 day stay in a hospital NICU followed a few weeks later with admission to the PICU. By GOD’s grace and mercy, along with skilled medical professionals, he survived and is a thriving, healthy boy today! Jessika would describe these as defining moments in her life as GOD allowed her glimpses into the fear, pain, and suffering so many parents experience in those specialized hospital units, because, as we know, not all of these stories end well.Some data indicate an average mortality rate as high as 10% within NICU’s. Out of this life changing experience, GOD gave Jessika a passion to minister to other parents with children in these sometimes lonely and frightening hospital settings, as well as parents grieving the death of a child.
