Amy welcomes new friend Jordan P. Barnes to discuss his memoir "One Hit Away: A Memoir of Recovery" Jordan discusses his personal journey with addiction and recovery with host Amy Liz Harrison. Jordan grew up in Hawaii with loving and supportive parents, but still faced addiction issues and difficulties from an early age. He talks about how drinking heavily in college led him to try heroin for the first time and how he felt isolated and lost in his addiction. Jordan shares more about the tough parts of detox and treatment and how it works for some people.
