Nelson is a former law clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor and the founder of the nonprofit One Nation One Vote, an organization focused on electing the U.S. president by popular vote. Nelson is a partner specializing in major civil litigation at the Houston law firm Susman Godfrey LLP and has been named a Texas Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters.
