A Court of Wings and Ruin part 1: Things are escalting very quickly

A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas, part 1 of 2. Megan (never been a reader) is up through the end of chapter 31 when she meets up with Samantha (a long time reader), but let's just say spoilers for the entire book. Suddenly, the most boring place in the world, aka Spring Court, had some action. Samantha really goes out of her way to make Megan feel smart with her theories that are just basic reading comprehension skills. Sam does drop the bomb that not all of our questions will be answered by the end of this book, which was devastating news. Sam says some stuff will go down, but we're going to feel okay about it.
