A Cry from Hell

This message centers on the biblical account of the rich man and Lazarus from Luke 16. It highlights the stark contrast between the rich man's earthly prosperity and Lazarus's poverty, contrasting their eternal destinies. The sermon emphasizes that earthly riches and pursuits can blind individuals to their true spiritual needs and eternal salvation. It delves into how the rich man’s focus on personal gain and lack of concern for others ultimately led to his eternal torment. The sermon underscores that true blessings come from a personal relationship with God, not from material wealth. It explores the rich man's hypocritical cry for mercy and his belated desire for his family to be warned, which went unheeded. It clarifies that wealth is a tool for blessing others, not merely for personal accumulation, and that eternal well-being outweighs any temporary earthly comfort. The message warns against neglecting God and focusing solely on self-gratification. Ultimately, the message asserts that salvation comes through placing trust in Jesus Christ, believing in His death and resurrection for the forgiveness of sins. It stresses that people's hearts must change from self-focus to God-focus, accepting the truth of God's Word. The sermon concludes by urging listeners to embrace this truth now, while there is still hope, and to share the message of Jesus's saving grace with a lost and dying world, echoing the final plea from the rich man's perspective for others to avoid his fate.
