A dark stormy sky

Today I saw a black stormy sky ready to drop its cargo but then I saw God extending one arm underneath, creating a shelter over the people below. Sometimes we forget or are unaware of God's presence as we fear that we are still in dreaded darkness. In fact, the darkness has been transcended by God's presence and protection within His shelter and under His wings. Like the darkness just before dawn, it may seem inky black but the light is about to break forth with God's fulfilled promises. "Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday" (Psalm 119:3-6).
