A Date with Destiny

It was a sunny sunday afternoon, the people had gathered for the monthly Celebration of Life in Christ. To all intents and purposes, it was going to be a normal meeting, sing praises, share testimonies, share the word, pray and eat. Mans plan. God had His own agenda, He had instructed a prophet His son to attend the meeting, anoint the called, pronounce Gods counsel and set them all in motion. The vision of the monthly meet was for Gods children to have a forum to fellowship and share their experiences in their various callings. They were majorly priests, generals in their own right. Warriors on the frontline. The meeting was a forum where you let down your armoury and just be a child in the presence of your father. It was a place of escape, a refuge, a refueling station. A place of rest. Nobody judged you, you are allowed to be. No matter what was pursuing you or what you are after, this meeting was comfort zone. Just come and find succor. The prophet shows up and declares the mind of God. Atmosphere changes, destiny is unleashed,mighty men are set loose. Who would have known that God would chose a sunday afternoon in an informal gathering to announce his counsel. Yeah, the people knew that God was in their midst, they just did not realise, He was there as The Lord of Host. There were those in the meeting who only came for the food but there were also them who knew God would visit. They saw Him and their destiny took shape.
