A dedication to composting, caring for the environment, and forever learning
from A Functional Approach with Dr. Jim Chialtas · host Jim Chialtas, DACM, L.Ac.
In this 91st episode I discuss my recent training as a "Master Composter." I have composted kitchen and yard waste on and off throughout my life and have a fascination for such basic practices not only to help rebuild the soil in my garden with nutrient dense soil amendments, but also to help protect our landfills. In my opinion, wellness begins with how we think and how we navigate our environment. Taking some basic steps to connect with our environment and the impact we have can go a long way towards a healthier approach to how we connect with and impact out own body. Create healthy mindful choices in all areas of our life and good health typically follows. In this episode I discuss topics including waste statistics here in San Diego, landfill issues, my recent training, several different composting methods, how handling compost and healthy soil can lead to a happier life though neurochemistry, and more!
