With about half of Idaho’s wheat grown under irrigation, water is critical to maintaining the volume and quality of Idaho wheat. Idaho’s water issues came to a head this spring when the Idaho Department of Water Resources issued a curtailment that pitted groundwater users and surface water users against each other.
