The Bible not only tells us that Satan lies to us but that he is "the father of lies". Since we know Satan is going to try and trip us up with his fabrications, it is obviously helpful to understand what his most common and successful lie has been to humans down through the ages. Satan attempts to feed us the same lie that he told Eve in the Garden of Eden and one of the same lies with which he tried to trick Jesus in the wilderness after His baptism.
