The thesis commits a category error of civilizational magnitude: it frames the deepening U.S.–Israel defense-technology integration, embodied in Section 224, as the outsourcing of national security to an extrinsic vendor, when no such membrane exists to outsource across. You cannot outsource to yourself. What Kent misclassifies as perilous entanglement is, read correctly, the consolidation of a distributed civilizational organism whose demographic, scientific, financial, and silicon-substrate nodes already span both shores; separation is therefore not prudent procurement but self-amputation.
