They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. Matthew 4:19 - "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." Matthew 4:20 - At once they left their nets and followed him. Ephesians 5:1 - Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children Ephesians 5:2 - and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. 1 Corinthians 11:1 - Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ. John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
