A Disease Rather Than A Moral Issue

I couldn’t understand how my life had turned out the way that it did. How did I make so many self-destructive and negative decisions. Why was my relationship with alcohol and drugs so different than my fellows. It turns out I wasn’t a bad person trying to get good, I was a sick person trying to get well.
