A Dish Best Served Cold

from The True Crime Librarian · host Ashlee O'Rourke

When Sue Duncan set the temperature to preheat the oven the night of November 9, 2014 she never imagined that she and Leo would never get to sit down for dinner. Andrew and Alecia Schmuhl were naïve enough to think that their revenge plot would go one unhinged but what neither of them thought is how powerful the will to live was in Sue and Leo. Leo recognized the man that paced back in forth in his bedroom but never let on he knew his identity instead his fight or flight was activated and he was looking for a way to save them both. Within 10 minutes cops had eyes on the escaping couple with no idea that the two people they set out to kill were alive and had already named them. Police witness a man jump from the car in nothing more than an adult diaper... nothing about this crime is the normal for investigators. Join me as we we tackle this not so normal case, you won't believe your ears.
