The LORD God loved King David. They had a close and personal relationship. Yet King David was not perfect. King David fell. King David committed serious sins. What happened after David’s fall? How did David respond? How did God respond? What can we learn from the life of this anointed man of God who fell deep in his trespasses, who seriously messed up?•When we mess up, we need to actively seek God’s mercy. (vv1-2)•When we mess up, we must realize all sin is ultimately against God. (vv3-6)•When we mess up and truly repent, we beseech God for a divine reset. (vv7-12)•When we mess up and are forgiven, we should be living examples of godliness. (vv13-14) •When we mess up, but have a repentant heart, we can have genuine worship. (vv18-19)It is very important that we forgive those who have offended us. It is equally important that we forgive ourselves. You see, when you and I mess up and go to the LORD with a repentant spirit, we can actively seek His mercy because we realize all sin is ultimately against God. He will give us a divine reset so that we can become living examples of godliness and experience genuine worship. He forgives us. So, if you haven’t already, forgive yourself. Accept God’s divine reset and live a life of grace engulfed in His love beginning today, starting right now. Whatever is in the past, today is your day and today is my day, for a divine reset. My life belongs to You, Jesus! Order my steps in Your Word. Amen.
