Party Monster is based on a true story about the death of Club Kid Angel Melendez, written from the perspective of James St.James who was also a lead character in the movie. Ditected by Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato, Party Monster'' tells the story of Michael Alig, a young man from the provinces of Indiana who becomes an infamous figure in the downtown New York partylife during the 80's and early 90's. After meeting one of the original Club Kids,, James St.James, Michael learned all the rules of becoming one of the most celebrated Club Kids. The movie is filled with colorful and chaotic scenes as we watch a story of a broken young man manipulate his way into becoming a club life celebrity before going to prison for the murder of Angel Menendez, a fellow club kid and drug dealer.
