A Factory for Corpses Abides Deep in the Gentling Forest

We examine "The Cross of Carl," A short novel written by Walter Owen in 1917. It's a novel about an unspeakable horror, that, at the time was admitted to by Germany. Was there a factory South of Koln where thousands of the bodies of dead soldiers were rendered into fats, bone meal, and glycerin? Most historians say it was just propaganda. Sure...just  like the Roswell crash was just a weather balloon.
