A Fallen Hero’s Legacy in New Substation | Las Vegas News

A new Hollywood Area Command substation has opened its doors, honoring fallen Officer Austin Abdelnabi — known as “Zade” — whose tragic death in the line of duty on August 4th casts a solemn shadow over the space he was set to join. The facility, funded by the county and outfitted with modern amenities like public kiosks and interview rooms, stands as both a tribute and a symbol of resilience. Inside, tributes abound: flowers, signed memory boards, sympathy cards, and even a custom baseball bat — alongside Zade’s official portrait on the wall. Despite the loss, the department remains steadfast in its mission to serve the east valley, using this upgraded location to strengthen community safety and deter crime.
