A False Start into the NFL: About Michael Sam
from Loudmouth Hosted by Madison Hadler
Happy last day of Pride month, Loudmouthers! I hope you all celebrated by being gay and beautiful. In this week's episode, I talk about FOOTBALL???? I know, this is a once-in-a-lifetime moment where Madison genuinely cares about football and it's because of Pride, baby. I talk about recently-out NFL player Carl Nassib and how a player before him, Michael Sam, paved the way for LGBTQ players. Come along as I try to talk and understand football ;) The Trevor Project: https://www.thetrevorproject.org/?gclid=CjwKCAjwrPCGBhALEiwAUl9X05Xe4EWP0s7I4aJb500uTL-SW3tvMgWQfZ_NRngpMqRxTr4HKJOdCxoCJcAQAvD_BwE Michael Sam's Twitter: https://twitter.com/MichaelSam52 Sources: Out: https://www.out.com/entertainment/sports/2014/07/09/michael-sam-and-draw-changed-american-sports-forever CBS: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/michael-sam-first-openly-gay-player-retires-for-mental-health-reasons/ Slate: https://slate.com/culture/2021/06/carl-nassib-nfl-first-openly-gay-active-player-dave-kopay-colin-kaepernick.html Missourian: https://www.columbiamissourian.com/sports/mizzou_football/michael-sam-reflects-on-career-lgbtq-progress-in-sports/article_14efbdcc-d694-11eb-9a56-4ba52ffe10e5.html NBC Sports: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/06/22/did-michael-sam-get-a-fair-chance-in-the-nfl/ Follow Me: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/loudmouthpod/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/loudmouth_pod Gmail: [email protected] Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/loudmouthpod --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/appSupport this podcast: https://anchor.fm/loudmouthpod/support
