A Few Steps Back: Losing Progress Made from the Me Too Movement
from Groupie and Harmony · host Matthew Kirby
Warning: This episode discusses various sexual assault, harassment, and other crimes of this nature. While I don't discuss these in graphic depth, I still do discuss certain situations. Over the past couple months, there have been several instances of famous and notable individuals who are either accused of sexual crimes or have updates related to previous accusations or cases. I discuss several individuals, including the hirings of Chauncey Billups and Jason Kidd, Bill Cosby's release from prison, Drake Bell's trial, and accusations against Diplo. With several instances of this, I fear that we are taking a step back in the Me Too movement. Note: This episode was recorded on July 18th, so it does not account for the suspension Starlin Castro received (30 games), DeShaun Watson reporting to training camp, or US Men's Fencing alternate Alen Hadzic being allowed to attend the while being accused of sexual assault.
