In this sermon we begun the groundwork for our E4 Strategy. This Vision for King of Kings is intended to provide additional focus as we live into our Mission of “Feeding Physical, Spiritual Hunger and our hunger to be in community.” Each of the E’s used stands for a particular component of the strategy and is incorporated into all aspects of ministry. WE WANT YOU TO BE... ENCOURAGED. WE WANT YOU TO BE... ENGAGED. WE WANT YOU TO BE… EQUIPPED. WE WANT YOU TO BE... EMPOWERED. Before we get started we need to set the foundation. Start with God first. Above all else, we seek to honor God by being rooted in prayer, grounded in the study, proclamation of the Gospel, the daily practice of living out God’s Word and the discernment of the movement of God’s Holy Spirit. In fact this theme also translates into our everyday lives and is perfect for a Labor Day reflection on establishing a foundation for our lives.
