At what point does government negligence in East Palestine, Ohio, become criminal? What we’ve learned from COVID and the vaccines is that our own government will engage in actions that cause mass deaths to its own people and tell us what we see in front of our eyes is not happening. I’m joined today by Heidi Jennings, a teacher’s aide, who lives just a quarter-mile from the train derailment and explosion. She gives us a vivid description of what it’s like to live there. The smell is constant and even getting worse. She had to take her daughter to the ER twice because of rashes and breathing problems, the very symptoms associated with exposure to these carcinogens. Other residents are experiencing the same. They are being told there is absolutely no problem and are not getting any help medically, financially, or logistically from either the state or federal government.
