A friend in need is a friend indeed !

The proverbial expression of friend in need is a friend indeed, is something we've heard a lot. It's actually a proverb. And it means that when a person who helps you in your time of need is considered to be a real friend, it also can mean the opposite, that if a person is not really helping you in your time of need, then they are a fairweather friend, and only are there for you when it suits their needs. So research on friendship validates this because we know that when we are in a crisis, the friendships that we have are rated as more important than our spouse. That doesn't mean that the spousal support isn't expected because, really, our spouse says support is necessary. But friendships make it much more powerful, because friendships are choices, and they raise the level of feeling loved and cared for. I love that. So where are you on your support of your friends? Are you supporting them more than just when you want to? Are you there for them regardless? I want you to nurture as many friends as you can.
