POMA is the professional association and trade organization, the foundation is a separate philanthropic organization. Episode Summary: In today's episode of POMA DOes… Diana Ewert, CSO, POMA sits down with two members of the POMA Foundation Board of Directors to discuss the different ways the Foundation has grown since its inception in 1973 and some of the many grants that are now available to help the osteopathic profession and/or philosophy. Key Takeaways: By broadening its mission, the leadership found that the Foundation's reach could extend beyond just students and residents to benefit to communities we serve.  Also joined up with the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians Foundation to help support Osteopathic Family Medicine Board certification initiative. 2023 granted 17 awards for Wellness grants for the residency programs. The foundation funds the dual accreditation, both AOA and AM A1A credits, which are provided for all of our educational programs.
