“A Good Defense” (Acts 11:1-18)

Today marks the conclusion of the narrative that details the interaction and relationship of Cornelius and Peter. It's a long narrative that has crucial implications for the church in Jerusalem. It's not just that the story of Cornelius is an exceptional situation (as with the Ethiopian eunuch) but the acceptance by the Gentiles into the Kingdom of God. A whole new ethnic group was being welcomed in. And as a result the church would expand into all the earth... ACTS: What Makes Us Who We Are? In 2022 we began a verse-by-verse study through the New Testament Book of Acts. This book records for us the acts of the apostles after the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the formation of the first church. Going through the Book of Acts will help us identify what makes us who we are and helps us chart our course forward.
