They're trying to pass the Dignidad Act. Do you know what Dignidad means? It means dignity. But they're using, listen to this, this is in a bill in the House of Representatives of the United States of America. 02:01 There is a bill called the Dignidad Act. 02:06 Again, Dignidad is Spanish for dignity. And it's led by Maria Salazar. Good grief. I you to listen to Maria Salazar talking about the Dignidad Act. Yes, they broke the law. But someone gave them a job because they needed those workers. Workers were still needed today. The Secretary of Homeland Security said it herself. Homeland Security, she said it herself clearly. 02:35 Congress needs to write legislation to fix this mess. Well, here is the legislation, madam. No more need to choose between amnesty or deportation. Dignity bill is the answer. And here's how it works. If you are undocumented and you have been in the country for more than five years, you do not have a criminal record. 03:00 you're working and paying taxes, you can come out of the shadows with no fear and apply for the dignity status. Calling the Dignity Act amnesty isn't just wrong, it's deliberate distortion and it exposes just how little you know about the bill. Unfortunately, when you really get into the weeds of the bill, it grants amnesty, permanent residency, deferred action, and legal status, and it halts deportation. 04:27 It wipes three to 10 year bans, creates inspected and admitted loopholes. It grants the attorney general power to terminate deportation for family hardship. It's in the bill. We can all read it, Maria Salazar. And it gets worse than you think. Listen to this.
