Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Kak served in the Indian Air Force for 35 years, and took active part in the 1965 Indo-Pak War. Apart from his personal experience of being born and spending his childhood in Kashmir, Kak is also a senior expert on Kashmir, defence, national security and international security for the last twenty years.
