A HEART THAT REMEMBERS
from The Kingdom Of God First Podcast. · host Tewe Kolade Felix
Devotional Message: Scripture: “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.” – Psalm 103:2 A forgetting heart is a wandering heart, but a remembering heart is a grateful one. David understood this deeply when he commanded his soul to remember. He knew that life’s pressures, disappointments, and routines could make him overlook God’s goodness. So he intentionally paused to recall God’s mercy, provision, protection, and unfailing love. A heart that remembers stays anchored. It refuses to let present challenges overshadow past faithfulness. It stands firm because it knows: If God did it before, He can do it again. Remembrance fuels trust, revives worship, and restores peace. When you choose to remember, gratitude rises, fear weakens, and faith is strengthened. Your perspective shifts from what is missing to what God has done—and that changes everything. Today: Take a moment to reflect on the victories, big or small, that God has given you. Ask Yourself: Do I intentionally remind my soul of God’s faithfulness, or do I let circumstances dictate my perspective? Prayer: Lord, give me a heart that remembers Your goodness daily. Help me never to forget Your faithfulness, and let remembrance produce gratitude, trust, and deeper worship. Amen.
