A Hell Of A Beating

A strange first minute but there's a reason. The November episode opens with the sad news from Spain: the Madrid to Seville rail crash, which has now cost 69 lives and a transport minister’s job, and the death of Tenerife forward Jesús de Miguel after a collision on the pitch. It then turns to better news for Valencia. Group14 is building its first European battery plant in Sagunto, Ford’s Almussafes plant will make its European electric cars, the new Sorolla museum opens in the old post office building early in the New Year, and Peter Lim has sold 42% of Valencia CF to an American investment group. The airport is less cheerful, as 27 months of works will close it from 10pm to 6am. Graham explains why Valencia Property now has a hub page, why you should bookmark the website and sign up for the Substack, and why Facebook has made that necessary. This month’s sponsor is light, which Valencia has plenty of. Stepping Stone Rentals had its busiest month ever. The episode ends with some well-earned crowing about the US midterms and a frank look at what a change in American politics could mean for the stream of Americans moving to Spain.
