A Holy God And His Chosen People

Amos 2:4-16. As the whirlpool of judgment flowed from God's prophet against the surrounding nations, we can imagine Israel nodding their heads in smug approval. But what Israel failed to grasp is that God shows no partiality. Not only will judgment comes to the nations, but the same judgment will begin at the household of God. The question that's being asked in these verses is this--"What does a holy God expect from His chosen people?" Answer: holiness of life that flows from redemption received.
