A huge tree with branches extending left and right
from Daily Picture Hosted by Stephanie Hawkins
Today, in my mind's eye, I saw a huge tree with its branches stretching as far as my eyes could see to the left and to the right. This is reminiscent of a tree that the kingdom of King Nebuchadnezzar of ancient Babylon was likened to in the Old Testament Book of Daniel chapter 4. God warned the king in a dream, interpreted by Prophet Daniel, that if he continued to attribute his kingdom success to his personal prowess he would spend 7 years in a demented state. This duly happened when King Nebuchadnezzar paid no heed to this warning. However, once he knew to acknowledge God's supremacy in his life, God blessed King Nebuchadnezzar and his kingdom even more. Let's not waste a second in thanking God for His provision and power in our lives.
